BEAUMONT, TEXAS — A heartbreaking domestic violence case has left a Texas community mourning the loss of a young woman remembered for her kindness, compᴀssion, and love for those around her.

Tammy Dawson, 25, died following a shooting that occurred during the early morning hours of June 6, 2026, at a residence on Heartfield Lane in Beaumont.

According to authorities, officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 2:40 a.m. reporting a shooting inside the home.
