Two Arrested After 22-Year-Old Man Fatally Stabbed Following Reported Bus Altercation

Two 21-year-olds have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man after a reported altercation on a bus in west London.

The victim, Haruun Hᴀssan, died after he was allegedly stabbed aboard a double-decker bus in Hounslow during the early hours of June 30.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Bath Road and Great South West Road shortly after 1:45 a.m. following reports of a stabbing.

Haruun, who lived locally, was found with serious injuries. Despite efforts by the London Ambulance Service to save him, he was pronounced ᴅᴇᴀᴅ at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 21-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman have now been arrested on suspicion of murder. Both remain in police custody while the investigation continues.

As part of the investigation, officers cordoned off an N9 bus serving Heathrow Airport, while forensic specialists examined the scene for evidence.

A nearby resident, 73-year-old Kiran Hair, said she was awakened by shouting outside her home and saw several people near the stopped bus.

She recalled seeing one person who appeared to be injured, saying he was struggling to move along the pavement while leaning against a fence.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller expressed condolences to Haruun’s family and said investigators were continuing to gather evidence.

“Our thoughts remain with Haruun’s family during this very difficult time,” Waller said.

He added that police have made two arrests but continue to urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about what happened that night to contact investigators.

The investigation remains ongoing.
