💔👧 2-YEAR-OLD SAGE’S COURAGE INSPIRES HOPE AFTER SEVERE BURNS, AS LEGAL CASE CONTINUES ⚖️❤️🩹

Sage Borelli was only two years old when she suffered devastating injuries that changed her life forever.
According to investigators, Sage was taken to Palm Bay Hospital after it was initially reported that she had been left unattended in a bathtub. However, following an investigation, authorities alleged that the child’s injuries were not accidental and that extremely H๏τ water had been poured over her. Those allegations are part of an ongoing criminal case, while the accused continues to maintain that the injuries were accidental.
Because of the severity of her condition, Sage was transferred to Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, where a team of specialists worked to stabilize and treat her extensive third-degree burns.

Over the following months, Sage underwent multiple surgeries and intensive medical care. Her recovery also included extensive rehabilitation, as she had to relearn basic daily activities after her catheter and colostomy were removed. Physicians said her injuries were significant and could result in permanent physical changes, including reduced sensation in the affected areas.
Investigators said the pattern of Sage’s burns was one of the factors that led them to believe the injuries were intentionally inflicted. They also reported that she had a broken wrist and fresh bruises, which they believed were consistent with defensive injuries. These findings form part of the prosecution’s case, while the defense disputes the allegations.

Despite the unimaginable challenges she has faced, Sage has shown remarkable determination throughout her recovery. Today, she enjoys running, playing outside, and spending time with her family. Even so, her mother, Alexandra Torres, says her daughter still experiences daily pain and will eventually require reconstructive surgery, a procedure not covered by insurance.
“She is so incredibly strong,” her mother shared. “Every day she reminds me what true courage looks like. She keeps smiling despite everything she has endured.”
The legal proceedings remain ongoing. Angela Mayton has been charged with aggravated child abuse resulting in bodily injury, while her attorney continues to state that Sage’s injuries were accidental.
Meanwhile, supporters who had organized fundraising efforts for Sage’s future medical care announced they would close the campaign and refund donations because of complications related to the ongoing court case.
Through every setback, Sage’s resilience has continued to shine. Her journey stands as a powerful reminder of a child’s extraordinary strength and a mother’s unwavering commitment to helping her daughter heal, rebuild her life, and look toward a brighter future.
