Retinoblastoma is a rare form of eye cancer that primarily affects young children.

The medical team explained that Esmae’s cancer had reached stage E, an advanced stage of the disease.

The family was taken into a private room.

And then came the devastating news.

The tumor was so advanced that the only viable treatment was enucleation — removal of the affected eye. 😢🏥

For Elise and her partner, Callum Bissett, the news was overwhelming.

Until finally, on December 7, she reached a milestone her entire family had been waiting for.

🎅 THE DAY THEY COULD FINALLY CELEBRATE
The day Esmae completed her final treatment happened during the Christmas season.

Santa even came to visit the hospital, making the moment even more special. 🎅✨

Then, around 4 p.m., Esmae finished her last chemotherapy treatment.

And her family celebrated.

They danced.

They clapped.

They smiled.

After everything their little girl had endured, they finally had a moment to breathe. 🥹❤️
