The sheriff leading the investigation into the kidnapping of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie says he remains confident the case will be solved, even after six months with few major breakthroughs.

Speaking on Tuesday, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said investigators are continuing to work tirelessly, following every possible lead and analyzing an enormous amount of evidence.

“We have so much DNA to sort through. We have so much video evidence to examine. I’m still positive that we’re going to resolve this case,” Nanos told NBC.

The sheriff also urged anyone with even the smallest piece of information to come forward.

“We’re working this case as hard as we can. There’s no lead too small. If you know something or saw something, please let us know.”
According to NBC affiliate KVOA, Nanos said forensic laboratories across the country are working together to analyze DNA evidence in hopes of uncovering new clues.

Nancy Guthrie was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, home on February 1. Six months later, her daughter, Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie, released an emotional video тιтled “Bring Her Home,” pleading directly with those responsible.

Fighting back tears, Savannah appealed to the kidnappers’ conscience.

“The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, and I know that you have tried to do things the right way. So I am asking you—begging you—to do the right thing now.”
She continued with an emotional plea for answers.

“Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her. It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is living through a nightmare that won’t end.”
Savannah said she still believes there is hope.

“No matter where we’ve been or what we’ve done, I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice.”
Although Savannah has not explained why she chose to release the video this week, a federal source familiar with the investigation told Fox News she discussed the appeal with investigators beforehand.

The video marked her first public appeal in several weeks. Last month, she also became emotional while asking the public to share any information that could help bring her mother home.

Her latest message comes after reports surfaced about two alleged ransom notes linked to the kidnapping. One note claimed Nancy was “safe but scared” and demanded $4 million in Bitcoin for her release. A second note later claimed that she had died, though investigators have not confirmed the authenticity of either message.

After those reports emerged, Savannah described the devastating impact the case has had on her family.

“Somebody knows something. This isn’t just today’s headline—it’s the reality my sister, my brother, our children, and our entire family live every single day. We are in agony. We cannot be at peace.”
No arrests have been made in connection with Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. Her family continues to offer a $1 million reward for information leading to her safe return.
