The release of two ransom notes connected to Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance has prompted a noticeable increase in tips to investigators, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities said the Nancy Guthrie Task Force has seen a “slight increase” in tips since the notes were made public, and investigators are following up on all of them. However, officials have made clear that none of the new information has cracked the case so far.

The notes were released in hopes that someone might recognize the writer’s distinctive wording, language patterns or other details. Investigators believe those characteristics could help identify whoever was responsible for sending them. 

One note reportedly claimed Nancy was safe and demanded a multimillion-dollar ransom, while a later message claimed she had d*ied shortly after being taken. Authorities continue examining the communications as part of the broader investigation. 

For now, the increase in tips is encouraging, but there has been no confirmed breakthrough or arrest. Investigators continue asking anyone with potentially relevant information to come forward.
