The shooting happened at Independence High School around 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, as the school hosted Centennial High School for a football game. According to police, the incident began with an altercation involving a group of people before gunfire erupted.

As the sound of gunsHΰΉΟs rang out, spectators and players rushed toward the exits in fear. Police arrived and found Brown suffering from gunsHΰΉΟ wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
