Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton were only 9, 7 and 5 years old when they disappeared over Thanksgiving weekend in Michigan in November 2010.

Their mother, Tanya Zuvers, expected the boys to return after spending the holiday with their father, John Skelton.

They never came home.

THREE CHILDREN WHO WERE NEVER FOUND

For nearly 16 years, the whereabouts of Andrew, Alexander and Tanner have remained unknown. Their b#dies have never been found.

A judge declared the boys legally d#ead in 2025, but the family has continued seeking answers about what happened to them.

John Skelton had previously served a prison sentence related to the boys’ disappearance. In November 2025, shortly before he was scheduled to be released, prosecutors charged him with three counts of open mu#der and three counts of tampering with evidence.

THE CASE NOW MOVES TOWARD TRIAL

After a seven-day preliminary examination in August, Lenawee County District Judge Laura J. Schaedler ruled on September 3 that enough evidence had been presented for Skelton to stand trial.

The judge acknowledged that the prosecution’s case is largely circumstantial but said the evidence was sufficient to move forward.

Skelton has pleaded not guilty and remains accused, not convicted, of the charges.

PROSECUTORS PRESENTED NEW EVIDENCE

During the preliminary hearing, investigators presented cellphone records, testimony from family members and acquaintances, computer evidence and information about Skelton’s changing accounts of what happened to his sons.

An FBI examiner testified about searches found on Skelton’s laptop from the weeks before the boys disappeared and evidence connecting a CafeMom account created under the name “Joanne Taylor” to the Skelton residence. The defense questioned whether those digital connections necessarily proved Skelton himself was behind the account.

A Michigan State Police detective also testified that Skelton gave investigators a new account in 2025, claiming that two people connected to an alleged “underground sanctuary” had taken the boys. Investigators have not found evidence that such an organization existed.

THE FAMILY IS STILL WAITING

More than a decade and a half has pᴀssed since Andrew, Alexander and Tanner were last seen.

Their disappearance has left their family with questions that have never received a definitive answer: Where did the boys go? What happened after they left their father’s home? And where are they now?

The latest court ruling does not answer those questions.

It simply means the prosecution will now have the opportunity to present its case at trial, where the evidence will be examined further.

Three little boys.

Nearly 16 years.

And a family that has never stopped waiting for the truth. 💔🕊️
