💔 SHE RANG THE CANCER BELL ON AUGUST 8 — LESS THAN A MONTH LATER, SUZI PALACIOS IS FACING ANOTHER FIGHT

‼️ On August 8, Suzi Palacios rang the bell after fighting Stage 3 breast cancer. Her family believed she had finally reached the other side of one of the hardest battles of her life.

❤️‍🩹 Now, after brain surgery, Suzi’s family is waiting for answers about whether she will be able to speak normally and move the right side of her body.

Suzi Palacios has already overcome more than most people could imagine.

Her journey began long before her cancer diagnosis.

Suzi was born with Rieger’s syndrome and congenital glaucoma. She eventually lost one eye and experienced a period of complete blindness.

Despite those challenges, she continued fighting to preserve the vision she had left, enduring multiple transplants along the way.

But those obstacles never stopped her from pursuing her dreams.

Suzi became a National Merit Scholar.

She graduated college at only 19 years old.

Then she went to law school, where her family says she currently ranks eighth in her class.

She was building an extraordinary future.

Then came another devastating challenge: Stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer.

For many people, a diagnosis like that would bring life to a standstill.

For Suzi, it became another battle she was determined to face.

She underwent chemotherapy and radiation while continuing her law-school education.

And on August 8, she reached a moment her family had been waiting for.

And unfortunately, the treatment journey is not ending with surgery.

Suzi’s tissue expanders are being removed so doctors can perform an MRI and begin planning another course of radiation.

She will also need another PET scan to determine whether there are signs of cancer elsewhere in her body.

For her family and supporters, each scan now carries enormous weight.

Each appointment could bring new information.

Each result could shape what happens next.

But there is another part of Suzi’s story that cannot be forgotten.

This is the same young woman who continued her education while battling cancer.

The same woman who overcame blindness and multiple medical procedures.

The same law student who continued pursuing her career despite everything standing in her way.

The same person who rang that bell on August 8 believing she had made it through another enormous battle.
