A disturbing new development has emerged in the Ohio “House of Horrors” case, as Gary Siders Jr., 36, now faces additional charges involving a teenager who was previously taken into his family’s home.

The latest allegations are separate from the charges connected to the 16 children authorities discovered living in unsafe conditions at the family’s Hamden residence earlier this year.

A 17TH CHILD ENTERED THE FAMILY’S HOME

According to court records, Gary and his wife, Elizabeth Siders, took in another child for at least nine months in 2022, when the young person was between 13 and 16 years old.

The teenager was reportedly living with the couple while they already had 12 children of their own.

Gary is now accused of abusing the teenager while acting in a parental role. He has been charged with two counts of Sєxual battery and two counts of unlawful Sєxual conduct with a minor.

The allegations are just that — allegations. Gary Siders has pleaded not guilty, and he remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

THE INVESTIGATION THAT LED POLICE TO THE HOME

The discovery of the 17th child is connected to a broader investigation that began months before authorities found the 16 children inside the Siders family home.

In December 2025, investigators began looking into allegations involving children. A separate investigation later focused on alleged unlawful conduct involving a minor.

When deputies went to the residence in June 2026 as part of that investigation, authorities unexpectedly discovered the couple’s 16 children living inside the property.

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office said investigators believed the case involved prolonged and extreme neglect and abuse within the family. The children were removed from the home and placed into temporary care.

MORE CHARGES FOLLOWED THE DISCOVERY

The case has continued to expand since the June raid.

Gary and Elizabeth Siders were each indicted on 19 child-endangerment charges, while Gary’s parents, who also lived at the residence, face charges connected to the children found there. The Ohio Attorney General’s Office emphasized that the indictments are criminal allegations and that defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Gary has also requested a competency evaluation as the legal proceedings continue.

A CASE THAT CONTINUES TO UNFOLD

What initially shocked authorities was the discovery of 16 children inside the Ohio home. The revelation that another teenager had previously lived with the family has now added another troubling chapter to the investigation.

For the children involved, authorities have emphasized the need for protection and care as the legal process moves forward.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional developments could emerge as prosecutors and investigators continue reviewing the evidence.
