Ukraine has reportedly carried out a major drone strike on Russia’s Saratov oil refinery, triggering a large fire and damaging key energy infrastructure deep inside Russian territory.

Reports say the refinery’s primary crude processing unit, ELOU-AVT-6, may have suffered severe damage — a major blow because this type of unit is central to turning crude oil into usable fuel products.

The attack comes as Ukraine continues targeting Russian energy facilities, aiming to disrupt fuel supply, refinery output, and Moscow’s war logistics. Reuters reported that Ukraine confirmed a hit on the Saratov refinery during a wider wave of strikes on Russian oil infrastructure.
