A cheerful three-month-old baby is touching hearts after her family shared her inspiring journey of living with Holt-Oram syndrome, a rare genetic condition that affects the development of the upper limbs and, in some cases, the heart.

Little Charlotte was born with the condition, which left her without both radial bones and missing the ulna bone in her left arm. She also has nine fingers instead of ten.

Rather than focusing on what makes Charlotte different, her family has embraced her uniqueness with love and optimism.

“She only has nine fingers, but ten fingers are overrated anyway,” they joked affectionately.

Despite the challenges she was born with, Charlotte is thriving. At just three months old, she is growing, learning, and filling every day with smiles, curiosity, and the same joyful spirit as any other baby her age.

Doctors continue to monitor her development and discuss what treatments or support she may need as she grows. For now, however, her parents are choosing to celebrate each milestone instead of worrying about the future.

“When we look at Charlotte, we don’t see limitations,” a family member shared. “We see a beautiful little girl with her whole life ahead of her.”

Learning about the diagnosis was emotional at first, but Charlotte has already changed her family’s perspective.

“She’s happy, she’s deeply loved, and she’s much stronger than people realize,” they said. “Every day she reminds us that being different doesn’t make anyone any less perfect.”
