Three Men Arrested in Fatal Drive-By Shooting That Killed Bronx Father While Walking With His 7-Year-Old Daughter

Nearly two weeks after a ᴅᴇᴀᴅly drive-by shooting claimed the life of a young father in the Bronx, New York police arrested three men in connection with the killing, bringing a significant development in a case that deeply affected the victim’s family and community.

On the evening of July 5, 2020, 29-year-old Anthony Robinson was walking along East 170th Street with his 7-year-old daughter, Khloe, when a vehicle pulled alongside them. According to investigators, a pᴀssenger inside the vehicle opened fire, striking Robinson multiple times in the chest before the suspects fled the scene.

Surveillance footage captured the attack, showing Robinson collapsing on the sidewalk as his daughter ran from the gunfire. Although Khloe escaped physically unharmed, the traumatic experience left an enduring emotional impact on her and her family.

Robinson was transported to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel attempted to save his life. Despite their efforts, he later died from his injuries.

Less than two weeks after the shooting, investigators announced the arrests of Davon Delks, 21, Laquan Heyward, 25, and Devon Vines, 27. Authorities identified the three men as alleged members of Sev-O, an offshoot of the Bloods street gang.

According to police, the suspects had previously faced criminal charges connected to shootings, robberies, and other offenses. Investigators have stated that the motive behind Robinson’s killing remains under investigation, although they have examined possible links to gang-related violence.

Authorities have also explored whether the shooting was connected to other violent incidents that occurred in the Bronx the same evening, including another shooting that claimed two lives and injured a third person.

For Robinson’s loved ones, however, the focus remains on remembering the devoted father they lost.

His partner, Stephanie Quinonez, believes Anthony’s final actions helped save the life of his daughter. She has said she believes Robinson urged Khloe to run as the gunfire erupted, allowing the young girl to escape the attack.

Robinson was the father of three children, including Artemus, who was just one year old, and A’Luna, who had been born only weeks before the shooting. According to his family, he had been preparing to move to South Carolina with Quinonez and their children to begin a new chapter closer to relatives.

His loved ones say Robinson delayed those plans because he wanted to remain close to Khloe, whom they described as sharing an exceptionally close bond with her father.

Though arrests have been made, Robinson’s family continues to grieve a life cut tragically short while remembering a father they believe spent his final moments protecting his daughter.

🕊️ Anthony Robinson’s memory lives on through the three children he loved so deeply. ❤️
