🥺💗 THEY SAID SHE MIGHT NOT SURVIVE — BUT AT JUST 10 MONTHS OLD, LITTLE LUCY IS STILL FIGHTING WITH ALL HER HEART 🙏✨

Lucy was born with an extraordinarily complex combination of medical conditions, including Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), multiple severe atrial and ventricular septal defects, coarctation of the aorta, aortic stenosis, tetrasomy 18p, a cleft palate, and horseshoe kidneys.

From the very beginning, her future was uncertain.

Born at Texas Children’s Hospital, Lucy’s parents were warned that her chances of survival were extremely small. Some feared she might never leave the hospital. Others wondered whether she would even make it past her first two months.

For any parent, hearing those words would be heartbreaking. 💔

But Lucy had other plans.

She began her journey with a strength far greater than anyone could have imagined. Over the months that followed, she endured five open-heart surgeries, including a groundbreaking hybrid procedure that had never been attempted before.

Each surgery brought enormous risks. Each recovery carried new uncertainty.
