Sisu: The Immortal Gold Hunter (2023)
In the frozen wilderness of Lapland during the final days of World War II, a solitary gold prospector named Aatami Korpi (played by the intense Jorma Tommila) strikes it rich with a massive gold deposit. Hoping for a quiet retirement, his peaceful journey turns into a blood-soaked nightmare when he crosses paths with a ruthless Waffen-SS platoon on a scorched-earth retreat.

Led by the sadistic Bruno Helldorf (Aksel Hennie), the Nazis steal Aatami’s gold and murder his beloved dog and horse. But they have no idea they’ve awakened a legend. Aatami, a former elite Finnish commando with hundreds of kills to his name, embodies the untranslatable Finnish spirit of “Sisu” — unbreakable determination and raw courage against impossible odds.
With silent fury and savage ingenuity, this one-man army hunts down the entire platoon in a series of explosive, over-the-top action sequences filled with brutal hand-to-hand combat, improvised weapons, and relentless vengeance. Supporting roles shine through Mimosa Willamo as the fierce prisoner Aino, Jack Doolan as the vicious Wolf, and Onni Tommila as the young soldier Schütze, adding depth and tension to the chaos.
