💔 The case of Baby S has shocked the community in Sheffield after a newborn girl was found ᴅᴇᴀᴅ at a property in the Wincobank area on August 30.

A forensic post-mortem confirmed that the baby’s cause of death was stab wounds. Court proceedings later heard that she had suffered 33 injuries in 15 separate attacks. Authorities also said she was found wrapped in a towel and inside a blue bag on top of a washing machine in an outbuilding.

Five people have now been charged in connection with the case.

Andrea Skopova, 20, Peter Horvath Jnr, 19, Peter Horvath Snr, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37, are facing charges including m*rd3r, causing or allowing the d3ath of a child, and attempting to conceal the alleged crime. A 15-year-old girl has also been charged with perverting the course of justice and cannot legally be named.

The four adults appeared at Sheffield Crown Court alongside the teenager. None entered a plea during the brief hearing, and all five were remanded in custody.

A provisional trial date has been set for April 12, 2027, with proceedings expected to last around six to seven weeks.

Two other people who were initially arrested remain on bail while the investigation continues. Police have also said that the investigation remains complex and urged the public not to speculate or share information that could interfere with the legal process.
