Russia’s latest major offensive is facing growing criticism as new battlefield reports suggest the losses are far heavier than Moscow expected.

What was meant to be a powerful push to break Ukrainian defenses has reportedly become a grinding and costly struggle. Russian forces are said to be throwing large numbers of troops, armored vehicles, drones, and artillery into repeated ᴀssaults, but Ukrainian defenders continue to hold key positions and slow the advance.
