PART 2: THE SECRET THE BRIDE BURIED BEFORE THE WEDDING

PART 2: THE SECRET THE BRIDE BURIED BEFORE THE WEDDING
The groom stared at the elderly man.
“What do you mean?”
Nobody spoke.
The little girl continued holding the baby against her chest, trembling as if she expected someone to take her away.
Finally, the bride whispered, “She’s lying.”
But the elderly man shook his head.
“No. She isn’t.”
The groom’s eyes moved back to the child.
“What’s your name?”
“Emma.”
“And the baby?”
“My sister, Lily.”
He swallowed hard.
“Where is your mother?”
Emma’s eyes filled with tears.
“She told me to bring Lily here.”
“Why?”
“Because she said you were the only person who could save us.”
The groom looked toward his bride.
“What did you do?”
The bride stepped backward.
“You don’t understand.”
“Then explain it.”
She couldn’t.
The elderly man finally revealed the secret.
Years earlier, before the groom became a billionaire, he had fallen in love with a young woman named Sarah.
They had planned a future together.
But just weeks before their wedding, Sarah disappeared.
He had been told she left him.
He believed it.
What he never knew was that Sarah had been pregnant.
She gave birth to Emma—and later to Lily.
The bride had discovered the children years ago.
Terrified that the truth would destroy her chance to marry the billionaire, she had paid someone to keep Sarah away from him.
But there was something even worse.
Sarah hadn’t abandoned her children.
She had been trying to reach him for years.
The groom’s voice trembled.
“Where is Sarah now?”
Emma looked down at the baby.
“She told me to come here if anything happened to her.”
The groom’s face went pale.
“What happened to your mother?”
Emma began crying.
“She disappeared last night.”
The ballroom erupted in whispers.
Then Emma reached into her pocket and pulled out a small envelope.
“She said you would know what this means.”
The groom opened it.
Inside was an old pH๏τograph of himself and Sarah.
On the back were six handwritten words:
“Ask your bride what she did to me.”
He slowly looked up.
The bride was already crying.
And for the first time that day, the wedding guests realized—
The little girl hadn’t come to ruin a wedding.
She had come to expose a crime that had been hidden for years.
