NEARLY 20 YEARS LATER, THE McCANN FAMILY’S MESSAGE REMAINS ONE OF LOVE AND REMEMBRANCE

Nearly two decades after Madeleine McCann disappeared during a family holiday in Portugal, her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, continue to mark the anniversary with a message of remembrance and hope.

Madeleine disappeared from the family’s holiday apartment in Praia da Luz on May 3, 2007, when she was three years old. Her disappearance has remained one of the world’s most closely followed missing-child cases, with the investigation continuing across multiple countries.

Kate and Gerry have continued to keep Madeleine’s memory at the center of their lives, while also speaking about the importance of never giving up on the search for answers.

Madeleine’s siblings, twins Sean and Amelie, have grown up with their sister’s disappearance as part of their family story. Over the years, they have increasingly joined their parents in remembering Madeleine and keeping attention focused on the unanswered questions surrounding her disappearance.

The family’s journey has included years of uncertainty, changing investigative theories and renewed searches. German authorities continue to investigate Christian Brueckner as a suspect, although he has not been charged in connection with Madeleine’s disappearance and denies involvement.

For the McCann family, however, the pᴀssing years have not erased Madeleine’s place in their lives.

Each anniversary serves as another reminder that she has not been forgotten. While the investigation continues to face unanswered questions, the family’s enduring hope remains at the heart of their public message.

Nearly 20 years later, Madeleine’s name continues to be remembered around the world — and her family’s search for answers continues.
