ᴀssistant press secretaries Taylor Rogers and Liz Huston could also step up to the podium while Leavitt is away.

A SWEET new snap from Karoline Leavitt shows her baby daughter, Viviana, dressed in an ice cream-print onesie.
The White House press secretary posted the precious picture to Instagram with the caption: “as sweet as a sundae.”

In the picture, little Viviana is lying on a soft blanket in a pale blue striped onesie with an ice cream cone sтιтched on the front.
Leavitt and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, 60, welcomed the baby girl on May 1.
Viviana, who is nicknamed Vivi, is now just over one month old.
Leavitt previously said her family was enjoying its “newborn bubble” after the baby’s arrival.
The new mom announced her pregnancy in December 2025.
At the time, she called her baby girl “the greatest Christmas gift.”
Leavitt is the youngest person to serve as White House press secretary.
She has not confirmed how long she will stay away from the podium while spending time with her newborn.
Federal employees are given 12 weeks of maternity leave.
Leavitt said she was “extremely grateful” to President Donald Trump and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles “for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House.”
Her maternity leave plans have previously drawn attention.
Leavitt returned to work just three days after giving birth to her son, Niko.
That return came after Trump was nicked by a bullet during the first ᴀssᴀssination attempt against him.
Leavitt was also forced to delay her latest maternity leave after another alleged attempt on Trump’s life brought her back for a press briefing.
Her deputy, Anna Kelly, is expected to cover some duties while Leavitt remains at home.
Kelly is a former beauty queen who has worked on communications teams for several Republican campaigns.
No official replacement has been announced.
