Georgia Man Charged After Wife and Daughter Fatally SH๏τ Following Family Dispute

A Georgia man has been charged after authorities say an argument at the family home ended with the fatal shooting of his wife and adult daughter.

According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, 63-year-old Ralph Mincey was arrested on murder charges in connection with the deaths of his wife, Jennifer Lynn Mincey, 57, and his 37-year-old daughter, Amanda Mincey McBrayer.

Authorities said the shooting occurred on June 24 outside the family’s home on Gauntt Road in Oxford.

According to 911 recordings obtained by media outlets, Mincey called emergency dispatch after the shooting and said an argument had erupted after his wife and daughter accused him of not properly caring for his mother. During the call, he repeatedly apologized and said he had “lost it” after the confrontation.

A second 911 call was made by McBrayer’s husband, who told dispatchers he witnessed the shooting. He said he had driven his wife to her parents’ home after she wanted to speak with her family and fled the scene out of concern for his own safety and the safety of his two children.

According to the sheriff’s office, Amanda McBrayer was pronounced ᴅᴇᴀᴅ at the scene. Jennifer Lynn Mincey was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

In a statement following the incident, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office expressed sorrow over what it described as a senseless loss of life.

Ralph Mincey remains in custody as the case moves through the legal process. Authorities have not released additional details regarding future court proceedings.
