Chris and Rosie Ramsey were left open-mouthed after a contestant on The Wheel took a brutal swipe at their diet before host Michael McIntyre ‘shut them down’.
The husband and wife podcast duo, both 37, from South Shields, will appear on Saturday night’s instalment of the BBC game show.
However, the pair were left looking mildly offended when contestant, Grace, had them shut down by Michael McIntyre in a sneak peek at this weekend’s episode.
The comedian and presenter was met with roars of laughter when he said: ‘This may feel a little bit offensive.
‘You’re looking for people who avoid fruit. Who are you going to shut down?’

Contestant Grace named the husband and wife duo as the most likely to avoid eating fruit
After giving her answer, Michael McIntyre chimed in: ‘Did you see their faces? Open-mouthed!’
With little to no hesitation, Grace said: ‘I might shut down the Ramseys.’
Before she could give her reasoning, she was interrupted by ‘wow’s’ from Chris and Rosie as their jaws dropped.
Michael McIntyre chimed in: ‘Did you see their faces? Open-mouthed!’
Chris joked: ‘We just play Mario and avoid fruit!’
And Rosie asked: ‘Do we look malnourished to you?’
The pair were still chuckling as their light was switched to red and they were shut down.
On last Saturday’s show, Tracy-Ann Oberman revealed the truth behind James Nesbitt’s hair transplant, prompting a shocked contestant to ask ‘is that common knowledge?’.
Contestant Martin said he would spend any prize money he won on a hair transplant, prompting host Michael McIntyre to ask the celebrities around the wheel if they knew anything about the cosmetic procedure.
Capital Breakfast radio host Jordan North said that his brother went to Turkey for one, which prompted Tracey-Ann to blurt out: ‘Jimmy Nesbitt went to Ireland! It’s nearer.’
Concerned that she had just dropped a bombshell, Martin asked: ‘Is this common knowledge?’, to which Tracy-Ann insisted: ‘Yeah’.
The audience erupted into laughter as she added: ‘Do you know why? Because he got it for free, so he’s happy to let everybody know.’
The Wheel airs on Saturdays at 8.15pm BBC One and iPlayer.
