Dorit Kemsley revealed on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 premiere what really went down between her and PK Kemsley leading to their separation after nine years of marriage.

The first episode of the season premiered on Tuesday, November 19, and featured Dorit, 48, telling costar Erika Jayne the news of her and PK’s split.

“The bad news, PK and I have agreed to separate. Take it in,” Dorit said. “It’s sad and it’s hard. It’s also no secret, we’ve had a really rough couple of years.”

It was “ironic” to Dorit that she was telling Erika, 53, before any other RHOBH stars because of the 2022 BravoCon comments. (Erika speculated during the November 2022 fan convention that Dorit and PK would be the next Bravo couple to split.)

“I don’t think she saw something that I didn’t see,” Dorit said in her confessional. “I think she knew there was trouble in paradise. She had a shady question; she answered it with a shady answer.”

Dorit and PK, 57, announced their split on May 9 in a social media statement. (The couple share two kids: Jagger, 10, and Phoenix, 8.)

“To safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children,” she wrote at the time. “We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey.

PK’s Apparent Alcohol Problem

Dorit called her estranged husband a “full-blown alcoholic” during the episode.

She told Erika that PK “was pouring alcohol on his” problems within their marriage. “It got very very very toxic,” she alleged. During the RHOBH season 13 reunion, which aired in February, Dorit revealed that PK was sober. At the time, their marriage was “better than ever” but things imploded shortly thereafter.

The Final Straw

Dorit explained that there was “no catastrophic event” that caused the eventual separation.

“A week ago, there was a moment, and it was over nothing, and one thing led to another,” Dorit recalled. “We sat down like two very mature adults, who love and care about one another and mutually decided that taking some space and separating is the best thing for us.”

She said that they were taking things “day by day” but there was no time frame on their separation.

They Do Not Have Sєx

Kathy Hilton asked Dorit if she and PK still “get together” even despite the separation.

“Do we still have Sєx?” Dorit asked. “No. It’s all so fresh and new.”

PK Made the Decision

“I wouldn’t have chosen this route,” Dorit admitted at one point. “There’s something between having an argument and separating. You can work it out but for whatever reason. … This is necessary.”

Dorit shared in her confessional that she “stuck by” PK during various scandals in the public eye. (He has experienced several legal issues over the years.)

“For PK, it’s poof, let’s just get a separation. Isn’t there a way to meet in the middle?” she asked. “Obviously, but not with someone like PK. It’s black. It’s white. It’s extreme.”

The Kids Do Not Know About the Separation

Both Dorit and PK revealed that they have no plans to tell their kids about the separation.

“We can be doing things as a family. We’re not in a toxic place,” Dorit said. During one scene with Kyle Richards’ estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, he echoed her sentiment.
