Former royal correspondent Jane More revealed the clever trick Princess Diana did to keep paparazzi on their toes during Monday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity.

The Loose Women panellist, 62, recalled the time she saw the Princess of Wales wearing a ‘microscopic red ʙικιɴι’ as she reminisced about her career shadowing Diana and King Charles.

Speaking to her campmates GK Barry, Coleen Rooney and Dean McCullough by the creek, Jane spilled the tea on Diana’s cunning plans to escape paparazzi. 

She said: ‘They go on holiday and all the media go as well, and then her detectives would come over and go right if you leave her alone all week, on Wednesday morning she’ll come on to the beach on the island and you can take some pH๏τos.’

One particular time, Jane recounted when Diana was dressed in a modest leopard print swimsuit and sarong in the pH๏τos she knew would be taken by paps.

But when Jane and the paps were told to go, Diana immediately slipped into a ‘microscopic red ʙικιɴι’, she recalled.

Jane said: You [Dean] might remember the pictures if you are a Diana fan. She had on like a full length leopard skin swimsuit with a leopard print sarong.

‘[Diana] played on the sand with William and Harry, who were both quite young.’

Jane added: ‘And then the detectives come out on their boats and they go “Right that’s enough, you’ve got to go now”.

‘We turn the boat around. And just when we get to the point when we’re so far away, she’s come back out onto the beach in the most microscopic red ʙικιɴι that you’ve ever seen.

‘All the pH๏τographers were throwing money at our boat guy going “Turn around!”.’ 

Jane added: ‘She was really good at having a relationship with the media… she played it very well.’

Mother-of-two Jane split from her PR guru husband, Gary Farrow, three years ago after 20 years of marriage which has reportedly left her with a ‘hefty legal bill’.

The journalist and Gary, whose client base includes Elton John, raised her daughters Ellie and Grace, whom she has from a previous relationship, together. 

She is also a stepmother to his older daughter, Lauren.

In December 2022, Jane announced live on Loose Women that she and showbiz agent Gary had decided to separate but they remained ‘best friends’ and she had been caring for him after he broke his leg.

A TV source revealed: ‘Jane is really excited for the challenge of I’m A Celeb.

‘She’s been separated from Gary now for two years and it’s about time she set herself a new goal, to really experience what she’s made of.

‘It’s been a transformative few years for Jane and doing the show, which will be completely out of her comfort zone, is something she’s really looking forward to.

‘As a journalist, she thrives among people and is hoping to make new friends in camp as well as share stories from her interesting life with whoever else is there.’
