Richard Madden films terrifying fight scenes for new Citadel series as his spy agent alter-ego has to take cover after being sH๏τ at

Richard Madden was seen filming new fight scenes for Citadel in Surrey on Friday.

The actor, 38, stars as the spy agent Mason Kane in the Amazon Prime action series and in new pictures, he was seen performing huge stunts on set.

In one sH๏τ, the star gets into an altercation with another character and after being sH๏τ at, he takes refuge behind a car.

His co-star wore a bright yellow jacket on set and, at one point, appeared to show no mercy as he threw punch after punch.

In a break from filming, Richard looked calm as she took direction from others on set.

Richard was seen yanking open a car door as he knelt down behind it as the action unfolded within the scene.

The Surrey woodland where the filming took place is also notable for being the location of many blockbusters, including Gladiator and Ridley Scott’s 2023 film Napoleon.

A host of crew members filled the set as the drama took place,  and one dimly sH๏τ showed Richard acting as if he was in despair.

The first series of the spy drama was one of the most expensive television shows ever created.

During the first season couple Mason and Nadia discover a dangerous new organisation, Manticore, and their memories are wiped – with the pair living as strangers.

Eight years later, Bernard (Stanley Tucci) desperately needs the help of Citadel’s top operatives – but faces the battle of convincing them of their past selves that they can’t remember.

The original Citadel, which was co-led by Priyanka Chopra, is an American spy action for Prime Video and was executively produced by the Russo Brothers of Marvel fame.

Series one of Citadel had six episodes, although it is not known how many episodes will make up the show’s second outing.

Citadel was renewed for a second series in March 2023, the month before it debuted, and Russo was announced to be directing all episodes.

Filming on the main series began in January 2021 and wrapped in December 2022.

However, reshoots occurred in early and mid-2022 under the supervision of creator David Weil, the Russos, and series one director Thomas Sigel.

The new episodes of the hit show are expected to air on the streaming app at some point in 2025.
