Tulsa King fans have been left clamouring for the next series following the airing of the jaw-dropping cliffhanger in the season two finale on Sunday.
The crime comedy-drama stars Sylvester Stallone as Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi, an American capo from New York who has just been released from prison after serving a 25-year stretch.
His boss send him to Oklahoma, where he builds a new criminal empire with a group of unlikely characters, while dealing with his personal issues and evading law enforcement.
After debuting on Paramount+ in November 2022, the second series premiered in September this year, and wrapped up on Sunday night.
The explosive finale saw Domenick Lombardozzi’s Chickie Invernizzi murdered by antagonist Bill Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo) in a shocking twist.
Chickie had been tasked with getting Dwight to come back to New York with him, and after being refused, met with Bevilaqua to arrange a deal.

The pair visited Dwight to propose creating a franchise based on the organisation he’d built in Oklahoma.
But in the midst of their pitch, Bevilaqua sH๏τ Chickie, earning him 50 per cent of Dwight’s enterprise, as he said: ‘You earned it’.
But in yet another shocking twist, Dwight was then abducted in the middle of the night by mysterious armed figures dress in black, who declared he now worked for them.
And as the credits rolled, viewers were left gob-smacked by the turn of events and took to social media to praise ‘a great ending to a great season’ and admit they were ‘already counting down the days to season 3!’
They tweeted: ‘Holy s***! What a great ending to a great season over on #TulsaKing !! I literally screamed what the f*** in my room when that ending came!!’

In September, he took to his Instagram to praise the cast after the show received hit ratings and early warm reviews.
The action star wrote: ‘I am elated and so proud of our cast because our show has gone up 75% over last year which is unheard of, and season 2 got 100% on ROTTEN TOMATOES! Also it’s the second most popular show in the WORLD across all streaming services!’
While Sylvester then concluded the post: ‘Thank you so much and we are working on the third season at this moment.’

His fellow stars have also hinted towards Tulsa King’s future, with Max Casella, who plays Armand Truisi, recently teasing: ‘Events in the season 2 finale might suggest a direction for the next chapter.’
While Tatiana Zappardino, who plays Dwight’s daughter Tina, told RadioTimes.com that the production team are keeping hold of the studio space where they film in Atlanta.
She said: ‘It’s still held. All the sets are held, so I feel like they want to jump into a season 3. But you have to wait for the numbers to come back in.
‘Apparently the numbers are good and people are liking the show, so I have no doubt there’s going to be a season 3.’
