I’m A Celebrity’s Dean McCullough became an instant meme sensation when the first episode of the new series aired on Sunday night. 

The Radio 1 DJ, 32, spawned huge amounts of hilarious social media reaction after he shouted ‘Let’s go Wagatha Christie’ the second that he met Coleen Rooney – a reference to her famous court case with Rebekah Vardy. 

As the ITV show kicked off this series, Danny Jones, Tulisa, Jane Moore, Dean, and Oti Mabuse had to do the iconic skydive into the jungle.

Meanwhile, Barry McGuigan, GK Barry, Alan Halsall, Coleen, and Melvin Odoom waited at the beach for the other five campmates to join them. 

The celebrities doing the sky dive then had to take their turns to pick which celebrity they wanted to compete in a race to the finish line.

Once it was Dean’s choice to pick between Coleen or his Radio 1 colleague Melvin, he said: ‘Melvin, I’m so so sorry! Wagatha Christie you’re coming with me!’

It began when Coleen put a widely-shared post on Instagram which accused Rebekah of leaking ‘false stories’ about her private life to the press.

Rebekah denied the allegations and sued Coleen for libel, but the case – dubbed the ‘Wagatha Christie’ trial – found in Coleen’s favour, and left Rebekah liable to pay £1.5 million towards Coleen’s legal fees.

Just last month, Rebekah was ordered to pay £100,000 of the money she owes.

While Coleen has already told her side of the story for £1 million in a Disney+ documentary last year, ITV bosses will no doubt be hoping for some extra тιтbits during her jungle stay.

But they may be left disappointed – Coleen says she’s ‘drawn a line under’ the saga.

‘That’s a place that I’ve been, I’ve dealt with it,’ she says. ‘In my life now, I’m just moving forward and not looking back. ‘That’s something I’ve done my whole life, dealt with things and moved forward at the time and got on.

‘There are more important things to think about with the family and kids.’

Coleen is reportedly being lined up for a £1million ITV deal after starring on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

ITV are thought to be keen to get the WAG involved with one of their daytime shows like Loose Women.

The Sun also reports that there is potential for her to do other shows such as a remake of her 2008 series Coleen’s Real Women.

The Wagatha Christie saga began when Coleen put a widely-shared post on Instagram which accused Rebekah of leaking ‘false stories’ about her private life to the press 

The show followed Coleen who was set the challenge to find naturally beautiful women to be the face of major brands.

As well as TV work Coleen – who is thought to be being paid £1.5million for her Jungle stint – is reportedly hoping to bring out a swimwear line too.

The insider added that Coleen’s friends know her as someone ‘intelligent and not afraid to speak her mind’ – so she would be perfect for the show.

Jane – who stars on Loose Women is also in the Jungle so Coleen reportedly hopes to speak to her about the show when she’s there.
