this mcdonald’s was constructed over the top of an excavated roman road, including a skeleton. a glᴀss floor was built in front of the checkout counter so customers can glimpse down onto the ancient road below while ordering their meal.

The road was discovered in 2014 during the construction of the building. McDonald’s decided to sponsor the dig & worked with the archaeological authorities to preserve the road.
