Brittany Cartwright’s new romance with Jax Taylor’s friend is becoming a he-said-she-said between the two exes.

“We’re sitting at my house and her phone is sitting on the coffee table and a message popped up, and I looked at it. It was a simple message from Julian [Sensley], but it was at night,” Taylor, 45, claimed during the Thursday, November 14, episode of the “Bravo’s H๏τ Mic” podcast. “It was just a very weird message. I caught her in a couple lies. I got it out of her an hour into the conversation [when] she finally broke and told me.”

Taylor added he was “just in shock.”

Taylor and Cartwright, 35, started dating in 2015, getting married four years later. Cartwright, who shares 3-year-old son Cruz with Taylor, filed for divorce in August months after the pair informally separated.

Their former Vanderpump Rules costar Lala Kent recently claimed that Cartwright was dating Sensley. The Valley star, however, downplayed the connection on her own installment of the “Bravo’s H๏τ Mic” podcast, which aired on Monday, November 11, alleging that it was a one-time hookup.

“I didn’t think I was going to hook up with his friend. It wasn’t planned. I wasn’t trying to go after one of his friends. That’s not how it happened,” Cartwright said, adding that her relationship with Sensley started off via text and she didn’t regret the fling. “I could tell this guy was flirting with me. I was always flirting with him. He’s very much my type.”

Taylor, for his part, claimed on Thursday that he and Cartwright had expressly forbidden dating their mutual friends, which contradicted Cartwright’s own account.

“When we separated, we agreed [and] we said, ‘Hey, listen, we can see other people,” Taylor recalled. “We thought, maybe, we needed to go our separate ways and date other people to see if we were right for each other, but one of the rules was no friends or nobody we knew.”

Taylor further ᴀsserted that he wouldn’t have been “bothered” if Cartwright was dating a stranger, but the fact that Sensley was a pal added a complicated layer. (According to Taylor, he also caught Cartwright allegedly sending Sensley “naked pictures” in July after they discussed a potential reconciliation.)

“I felt, like, it was such a slap in the face to me a little bit,” Taylor claimed. “There was a whole five [or] six months where I wasn’t seeing anybody, but this was going on. … We were separated but we were still hanging out [and at the same time], she was dating this guy. … I definitely got a taste of my own medicine, for sure.”

He continued, “It just didn’t feel good. It put a really bad taste in my mouth, and that’s where the downward spiral started for me. The last eight months of my life have been hell. I went off the deep end.”

During Cartwright’s appearance, she told a different story and claimed that there was never a “no dating in the friend group” rule in place.

“[Jax and I] did not have a no dating in the friend group policy,” she stated. “We never spoke about that because why would we? First off, I didn’t think I was going to hook up with his friend. It wasn’t planned. I wasn’t trying to go after one of his friends. That’s not how it happened.”

Cartwright also claimed that the twosome agreed not to bring dates to their then-shared home. According to her, Taylor allegedly broke that rule.

“I don’t know if he had anybody around Cruz, but he definitely had people at my house, because I caught him both times,” Cartwright claimed. “Only two times I caught him. I’m sure there was other times, but I caught him twice, and I was like, man! … Jax has no leg to stand on.”

Taylor has not publicly addressed Cartwright’s accusations. Us Weekly reached out for comment.

After Cartwright filed for divorce, Taylor checked himself into an in-patient mental health facility, where he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD.

“I went crazy [and] I threw furniture,” Taylor said, noting discovering the alleged NSFW text chain between Cartwright and Sensley was his “breaking point.”

Hours after Taylor’s “H๏τ Mic” episode dropped, Cartwright seemingly responded.

“Oooo I can’t wait to record my podcast this week,” she wrote via her Instagram Stories, adding three Pinocchio-style emojis to allude to the prospect that Taylor was lying in his appearance.
