I’m A Celebrity’s iconic shower scenes could be axed by ITV bosses revealed after this year’s stars have decided they would rather cover up.
The shower under the waterfall is a staple for I’m A Celeb viewers and the likes of Katie Price, Myleene Klᴀss and Kate Garraway have all shown off their svelte figures in ʙικιɴιs.
But this year’s cast are taking a different approach according to The Sun.
Executive producer Olly Nash told the publication that times had changed and stars like Coleen Rooney and Maura Higgins may decide not to wear skimpy swimwear.
He said: ‘It’s funny, they (celebs) have all asked about that this year, but most people just cover themselves up.
And it’s absolutely changed. I think the whole world has changed, hasn’t it a lot over the years? They ask can you shower ɴuᴅᴇ, do people shower ɴuᴅᴇ?
I’m A Celeb’s near-naked shower scenes could be axed by ITV after Tulisa revealed she didn’t want to re-create THAT Myleene moment because ‘times have changed’ (Myleene in 2006)

In 2012 Helen Flanagan recreated Myleene’s viral moment from 2006 when she too donned a tiny white ʙικιɴι for a shower
People are less likely to get in there and want to flaunt themselves. They ask can you shower ɴuᴅᴇ, do people shower ɴuᴅᴇ? And you go, “you’re absolutely welcome”. “Obviously, you need to be respectful of everybody around you.’
Myleene famously set pulses racing on the show in 2006 by showing off her figure in a skimpy white two-piece in the shower.

Three years later, when Katie Price returned for a second time to the jungle, she wowed in a red frilly ʙικιɴι.
In 2012 Helen Flanagan recreated Myleene’s viral moment when she too donned a tiny white ʙικιɴι for a shower and Kate Garroway showed off her stunning figure in a two piece when she braved the waterfall shower in 2019.
The TV presenter told The Sun at the time that she had packed a revealing ʙικιɴι but would only wear it if she felt comfortable enough before showing it off to viewers when she stepped in to the shower.
She told said that she had initially been reluctant to go under the waterfall because it was ‘too embarrᴀssing’ but quickly went back on her word after explaining it’s the only way for the campmates to wash.
The possible change comes after Tulisa Contostavlos revealed she would not be having her own Myleene Klᴀss ʙικιɴι moment during her time in camp, insisting she wants to stay under the radar.

The show’s producer explained that stars like Coleen Rooney and Maura Higgins may decide not to wear skimpy swimwear unlike Vicky Pattison in 2015 (left) and Lisa Snowden in 2016

But the N-Dubz star, 36, declared she wanted the ‘polar opposite’, saying: ‘I am wearing black. I am going to pack three plain ʙικιɴιs, as I don’t want to draw attention to myself.
‘I am not going to step out in white. It will be the polar opposite and if someone can hold up a towel then I will (ask them!).’
The former X Factor judge went on to admit that she reckons the first few days in camp will be the hardest for her, as she has been avoiding the spotlight out of ‘irrational fear’.
She confessed: ‘I’m a big softie and I’m an emotional person. I will probably struggle in the first few days as doing something like this is a big deal for me.
‘I haven’t been thrust this much into the spotlight in a while and I have avoided it out of irrational fear. I will probably be the most emotional when I first go in. It will take me a while to settle in, but I know I will get past that.’
The N-Dubz star said: ‘I am not going to step out in white. It will be the polar opposite and if someone can hold up a towel then I will (ask them!).’
But Tulisa explained that despite her fear, she has decided to enter the jungle in the hopes of changing public perceptions of her.
She said she hoped the show would allow people to finally find out more about the real her and finally felt ready to push herself beyond her ‘comfort zone’.
She explained: ‘I am not the person people perceive me to be and this will be the chance for everyone to get to know the real me.
