Britney Spears will pay ex-husband Kevin Federline her final child support payment this Friday.
The 42-year-old pop megastar – who recently reunited with their youngest son – will wire her final child support payment to her 46-year-old ex according to sources for TMZ on Tuesday.
Insiders told the publication that the Oops I Did It Again hitmaker has been making bi-monthly payments to her ex on behalf of youngest child Jayden who turned 18 two months ago.
TMZ reports that she paid $10K at the beginning of the month and will pay the last $10K in three days.
Britney’s lawyer Laura Wᴀsser – aka disso queen – and his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan were embroiled in a legal battle earlier this year over how much the Lucky singer would pay.

In the end the two sides agreed that the cutoff would be November which would align with the younger child finishing high school.
The two exes had agreed at the time of their 2007 divorce that she would pay him $20K-a-month but that doubled to $40K in 2018 as Kevin had the kids 100percent of the time despite their prior joint custody agreement.
Then after Sean Preston, now 19, turned 18-years-old last year the two had agreed to cut the payments to $20K-a-month.
Federline and his two sons with Spears now live on the island of Oahu in Hawaii with his third wife Victoria Prince, whom he wed in 2013.
Jayden, Sean Preston and Federline’s four other children – two of whom he fathered with Prince and two with his first wife, Shar Jackson – now live with him in a rented $14,000-a-month, five-bedroom, 6,300 square-foot home that has a listed sale price of $3.7 million and sits a few blocks from the sea in the picturesque, luxury suburban community of Portlock, Oahu.
Indeed, a sprawling mansion in Portlock is a far cry from where Federline found himself in 2007 after divorcing Spears, citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’
The news came after she reunited with son 18-year-old Jayden after years of estrangement.
Britney – whose 2016 interview was recently published – is said to have reunited with her youngest son according to a Monday report from Page Six.

An insider for the publication said: ‘They have been spending a lot of time together.’
DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Spears and Federline and have yet to hear back.
A second source told Page Six that Jayden has been ‘back in California’ where Britney lives after relocating to Hawaii last year.
It remains unclear if Jayden stayed at his famous mom’s $7.4million estate in Thousand Oaks.
However, Page Six reports that Britney’s older son Sean Preston still lives in Hawaii.
The insider for the publication said: ‘Britney is thrilled to have her baby back. Everything is moving in the right direction.’
It is interesting to note that there has been no word of Britney spending time with her older son as Jayden has previously said that he was always her favorite.
The younger son previously told Daily Mail in September 2022: ‘I think Mom has struggled giving us both attention and showing us equal love, I don’t think she showed enough to Preston, and I feel really bad for that.

The performer has been paying her ex, Kevin, for a total of 17 years – with payments amounting to around $5 million.
‘The amount of money Britney has given Kevin for the two boys is extraordinary and it is enough for any man to support an entire family, which is what she believes he has done,’ a source stated.

However, despite her youngest son officially turning 18, Britney will possibly have to continue paying child support to Federline for a few more months.
Kevin’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told People in an article published on Friday that child support payments must continue until the child graduates high school – even if they are already 18, per California state law.
‘Under California law, child support jurisdiction continues until the minor child reaches the age of 18, or if upon their 18th birthday they have not yet graduated high school, it continues until they graduate high school, but in no event later than their 19th birthday,’ Kaplan informed the outlet.
‘The child support in this case for Jayden is being paid consistent with that law. His graduation for high school will be in November.’
A source soon shared the pop icon’s response to the possibility of continuing child support payments.
‘Britney has plans for the boys’ future and will do whatever she can and will always continue to love and support them,’ the insider stated.

‘She wanted to keep this quiet because she didn’t want it to jeopardize their chances of reconciliation, but she’s actually been back to being their mom again since February.’
Her sons currently live in Hawaii with their father, Kevin, and the source said the singer, ‘has gone to Hawaii to see them and they have come to her house to spend time with her.’
