Charlotte Dawson has detailed how she’s learning to forgive her fiancé Matthew Sarsfield’s Sєxting scandal, likening the undertaking to a ‘grieving process’.
The reality TV star, 32, revealed in August that she and Matt, 33, were expecting their ‘surprise’ third child – just weeks after news broke he had been Sєxting another woman.
Charlotte has since reconciled with her partner and said Matt is banned from using social media as she admitted it’s taking her a ‘long time to rebuild the trust’ with him.
And in an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Charlotte opened up on her relationship, stating that the couple were ‘taking it slow’ and that it would have been ‘easier walk away’ from their eight-year romance.
Discussing how it’s been learning to trust her partner again and the time it takes, the star shared: ‘As much as this is public, this is our actual lives. This is what has actually been happening to us, it’s not a showmance! It’s one of those those where there is a lot of hurt, it’s like a grieving process.’

‘I actually always say, it’s a lot harder to stay with them and it’s actually easier to walk away. Do you know what I mean? So we’re happy.
‘We’re taking it slow and he’s not on social media at the moment just because of the obvious reasons. I just think it’s the best thing for us at the moment.

‘You know what it’s like on social media, you just end up scrolling for hours, so it’s just a waste of time and you end up in a bit of a like habit of it, don’t you? So he’s happy, he doesn’t know anything that’s going on with anyone, so it’s quite nice actually. It was his decision. He said he just came off it [social media] and he was going to go back on it and then he just decided to not go back on.
Charlotte said that if he did return to social media, it wouldn’t be a deal breaker because they are ‘learning to trust each other’, adding that Matt will return to social media ‘when the time’s right’.
Meanwhile, the former Celebrity Bumps star addressed the backlash she gets for posting Matthew on her Instagram, declaring she ‘can’t win’ either way.
She said: ‘I used to love doing my funny videos with him and stuff like that. I keep putting him at the end of my pH๏τos all the time. Everyone’s like, I want to see a picture of you and Matthew, it’s like you can’t win!
‘People are upset that I’m hiding him away, which I’m not, he doesn’t particularly want to be in it anyway! If I don’t show him, it’s like “oh you’re not showing him”, but if I do show him, I get the odd idiot saying I’m a mug! You just can’t win!’
