The clip then showed the baby being cleaned next to her placenta after she revealed it was the ‘redemption birth of her dreams’.
Sharing the first clip to social media, Iskra penned: ‘On the final day of Virgo season our daughter arrived in the water, my midwife laid her on my chest and I felt complete awe
‘this is part 1 of my home birth redemption story. A new birth team, and a totally new mindset. This was the birth of my dreams – you may watch this and think “it looks painful” but trust me you welcome it because you know that it’s time to meet your baby and every contraction is bringing you closer
‘birth is the most alive feeling I’ve every experienced when you feel the human you’ve been building moving down and getting ready to enter the world you have to completely surrender you have to work together and invite everything that comes with it
‘you are pushed to your furthest limit and realize you are more powerful than you can every imagine that you will be able to get through anything after this and it prepares you for the challenges ahead by showing you what you’re capable of

‘the women’s body is a miracle, and in a way I get how romanticized and mysterious it can seem but I felt lost and alone and searching for so many answers during my first birth that I knew I wanted to share the raw reel footage of this one to help others see what birth looks like – that it’s the hardest more rewarding experience you’ll have and that no matter what fears you have you are capable and you and your baby will knew what to do when the time comes
‘yes there was throw up, poop, blood, sweat, tears, moments I didn’t know if I had enough energy left but that’s where you get to tap into the deepest depths of your soul and give everything you have – which to my symbolizes how we give everything to our children and instead of feeling like we have nothing left for us just remember you did that, you are a creator and your body is miraculous
‘To those who will shame me for having a home birth that’s ok I love u and I understand your mindset and my birth is no greater because it was at home or unmedicated and if I had needed I would have happily gone to a hospital and for those who think this is grotesque and tmi I am at such peace and I’m so proud of myself and my body you simply don’t have to watch or comment on this I realize this won’t be for everyone’
For the second video, she captioned it: ‘Her arrival… part 2 of my 2nd homebirth sharing these intimate unfiltered moments because how can we prepare for birth if we’ve never seen it?
‘many of you have opened up that giving birth seems scary and you feel fear around it from hearing others birth stories
‘or that you’re curious about home birth because you’ve only ever seen births in hospitals in the movies and want to learn more (feel free to ask Qs)
‘I didn’t document my first birth and regretted it because it was the most powerful and soul shattering experience.’

Iskra continued: ‘I choose to give birth at home again because that’s how I always envisioned bringing my babies into the world. first time around my son got stuck and I didn’t have the confidence and still had fear surrounding birth that I let my previous midwife intervene and help pull him past my cervix for him to then get stuck again after he crowned and as I got up to let her look he breathed air I had to immediately get out the birth pool and she pulled him out (he was fine) but it felt traumatic and I told my new midwife and doula
‘I would need to work on the fear of baby girl getting stuck this time too
‘But often our bodies remember…and as she began to crown she got stuck in the ring of fire but unlike my first birth my midwife, doula and Philip didn’t intervene they calmed me, supported me and I surrendered.
‘Breathing deeply I waited for the next contraction and when it came I tapped into a depth of myself I didn’t even know existed my most powerful raw energy and there she was laid on my chest her heart on mine her first breath the first moment we became a family of 4
‘birth is a miracle, I’m forever grateful to have my babies and
‘I hope I can inspire you to see birth as something magical and that you and your baby know exactly what to do and you are capable
‘(this does not mean I’m trying to convince anyone to have a home birth) please keep the comments kind and open minded and a safe space for mama’s to share their positive stories because we need more of them not just the horror stories that fill us with fear you’ve got this mamas’
