VIRAL CLAIM SAYS GUS LAMONT HAS BEEN FOUND — BUT POLICE SAY NO TRACE HAS BEEN LOCATED

A heartbreaking claim circulating online says four-year-old Gus Lamont has finally been found in South Australia.

But official information tells a very different story.

South Australia Police said on September 23, 2026, that no trace of Gus had been located since he disappeared from Oak Park Station on September 27, 2025. Police offered a reward of up to A$1 million for information that could help locate him or ᴀssist in the investigation.

Gus was last seen playing outside his family home on the remote property near Yunta. What began as a missing-child search was later declared a major crime investigation.

Police have conducted extensive searches involving ground teams, aircraft, drones and specialist investigators, but the boy has not been located. Investigators have also said they do not believe Gus simply wandered away from the property and have focused on the possibility that someone known to him may have information about what happened.

Recent reports have continued to show that the investigation remains active, with Gus’s family still seeking answers.

For now, there is no verified police announcement that Gus has been found.

The heartbreaking “Goodbye, little girl” claim circulating online should therefore not be treated as a confirmed update.
