💔 TWO YOUNG BROTHERS DIE IN CRASH AFTER FOOTBALL EVENT AS TEEN FRIEND FACES LONG RECOVERY

A day that should have been filled with football, friendship and dreams of the future ended in tragedy when a vehicle carrying four boys crashed, leaving two brothers ᴅᴇᴀᴅ and their 14-year-old friend with life-threatening injuries. 🏈💔

According to authorities, 34-year-old James Edward Neal Jr. was driving the vehicle after returning from a football event with his two sons, 13-year-old Zayden Andrew Hurley and 7-year-old James Edward Neal III, along with their 14-year-old friend, Evan Marling.

For the boys, football represented far more than a sport. It was part of their friendships, their teamwork and the dreams they carried into the future.

Zayden and James reportedly dreamed of one day playing in the NFL.

Authorities allege Neal was driving while under the influence when the vehicle struck a parked highway maintenance vehicle on a straight section of roadway. Investigators said testing allegedly detected methamphetamine and THC in his system following the crash.

According to the criminal complaint, Neal allegedly told authorities that he had fallen asleep while driving. Investigators also stated that he admitted he had relapsed after nearly five years of sobriety.

Troopers reportedly observed signs that raised concerns about his condition, including confusion, sweating and tremors. A blood test allegedly detected methamphetamine and THC, with investigators stating that the methamphetamine level was significantly above what would typically be ᴀssociated with medical use.

The criminal complaint also describes an alleged reaction following the crash that has drawn additional attention. Investigators said Neal allegedly made jokes to an acquaintance about cuts on his hands after being informed that his sons had died.

Those allegations have added another painful dimension for the families grieving the boys.

But beyond the investigation and court proceedings are two children whose lives meant far more than the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
