THREE BROTHERS, THREE YEARS LATER: NEW VIDEO SHEDS LIGHT ON THE DOERMAN CASE
đź’™ Clayton, Hunter, and Chase Doerman were three brothers whose lives were tragically cut short in Ohio in June 2023.
Clayton was 7, Hunter was 4, and Chase was only 3. Their family remembered them as fun-loving brothers who were closely bonded and enjoyed ordinary childhood moments together.
On June 15, 2023, their father, Chad Doerman, fatally attacked the three boys at their home in Monroe Township, Clermont County. Their mother, Laura, was also injured while trying to protect the children, while their teenage sister escaped and sought help.
The Doerman case has returned to public attention in 2026 after newly released interrogation footage provided additional insight into what Chad Doerman told investigators following the 2023 tragedy involving his three young sons.
Clayton, 7, Hunter, 4, and Chase, 3, were killed at their family’s Ohio home on June 15, 2023. Their mother was also injured, while their teenage sister escaped and alerted neighbors.
In the newly released footage, Doerman reportedly told investigators that he believed his actions were connected to God and religious beliefs. FOX19 reported that the interview footage shows him discussing those beliefs during questioning.
Doerman later pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated m#rder and two counts of felonious á´€ssault. In August 2024, he was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of par#le.
The tragedy has continued to draw attention. In 2026, newly released law-enforcement video reportedly provided additional insight into Doerman’s statements to investigators after the incident.
But beyond the courtroom and the investigation, Clayton, Hunter, and Chase were three little brothers who should have had decades ahead of them — growing up together, celebrating birthdays, making memories, and simply being a family.
Their story is ultimately about three children whose lives were far more than the circumstances of their loss.

The release of the footage is significant because an earlier court ruling had found that police violated Doerman’s Miranda rights during his interrogation, preventing prosecutors from using those interrogation statements and recordings in their case-in-chief.
