A man has died after killing eight of his relatives, including four children, as they gathered for family dinner.
A US man has died after killing eight of his relatives, including four children, as they gathered for family dinner at a home in Billings, Montana.
Police responded to the home where they heard gunsH๏τs just moments before the home was engulfed in flames, about 6pm on Sunday (local time).
Investigators confirmed there were eight victims and that the suspect had suffered a self-inflicted gunsH๏τ wound before later dying in hospital.
Among the victims were four generations of blended family, ranging from a great-grandmother in her nineties to a seven-year-old girl, according to a neighbour.
Brad Ireland, whose former wife and two children were among the ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, identified the shooter as Alan Smith, 44.
According to Mr Ireland, Mr Smith had been living with his parents for years before recently being asked to move out of the home.
