After experiencing a previous miscarriage, the family was filled with joy when they learned they were expecting again. But at 20 weeks, an ultrasound revealed a serious concern. By 24 weeks, doctors discovered that their baby was missing most of the bones normally covering the skull — a rare condition known as acalvaria.

The prognosis was devastating. Doctors warned the parents that their baby might not survive.

Yet they chose to continue the pregnancy, holding onto faith, love, and hope despite the uncertainty ahead.
