💙👶 AT JUST 2 YEARS OLD, MARYAM HAD A 28-INCH HEAD — THEN A SERIES OF COMPLEX SURGERIES GAVE HER NEW HOPE 🙏✨
At just two years old, little Maryam was living with a condition so severe that even the simplest movements had become incredibly difficult. 👶💔

Her head measured approximately 28 inches (72 cm) in circumference, largely because of severe hydrocephalus and megalencephaly.

The weight and size of her head made it extremely difficult for Maryam to lift or even turn it without ᴀssistance. 🏥💙

For her parents, watching their little girl struggle to support her own head was heartbreaking.

But they refused to give up.

🌍💙 A FAMILY TRAVELED MORE THAN 700 MILES FOR HELP
Desperate to find treatment, Maryam’s parents traveled approximately 730 miles (1,175 km) from Tajikistan to India after hearing about another child who had survived an extreme case of hydrocephalus.

They eventually reached Fortis Memorial Research Insтιтute in Gurgaon, where specialists evaluated their daughter.

But Mary’s condition presented doctors with an extraordinary challenge.

Her skull bones had already fused, meaning doctors could not simply drain all the excess fluid in one procedure.

The risks were extremely high.

Initially, doctors were hesitant to operate.

But eventually, a team of specialists agreed to take on the difficult case. 🙏🏥

🏥💔 EIGHT COMPLEX PROCEDURES
Instead of attempting to make a dramatic change all at once, doctors carried out a series of procedures designed to gradually reduce the size and weight of Maryam’s head.

Approximately 500 milliliters of fluid were drained during each procedure.

In total, Maryam underwent eight operations. 💙

The journey was incredibly difficult.

At one point, doctors feared they might lose her.

Her family could only wait and hope while the medical team fought to give their little girl another chance. 😢🙏

But Maryam kept fighting.

🌷✨ THEN CAME A SIGN OF HOPE
Following the surgeries, Maryam’s head circumference was reduced from around 28 inches to approximately 26 inches (65 cm).

But the most encouraging change wasn’t simply the reduction in size.

A later CT scan showed positive developments.

And then Maryam achieved something that may have seemed impossible only months earlier:
