💔🙏 AT 24, THIS TEXAS MOM IS PARALYZED AFTER A DEVASTATING ACCIDENT — NOW HER TWO BABIES ARE WAITING FOR MOMMY TO COME HOME

At only 24 years old, Karla Flores was doing what so many young mothers do every day — caring for her children and building a life around her two little girls.

Her daughters are just 2 years old and 6 months old.

Then, in a matter of seconds, everything changed.

Karla is now lying in a South Texas intensive care unit, paralyzed from the waist down following a devastating four-wheeler accident in Santa Maria, Texas.

Her mother-in-law, Jazmin, reached out asking for prayers and support for the young mother and her family.

According to Jazmin, the accident happened Sunday night.

The injuries were catastrophic.

Karla suffered a serious spinal injury, two broken ribs and a collapsed right lung. Part of her damaged spine had caved in and was affecting nerves along her spinal cord.

Doctors had to perform emergency surgery to stabilize and fuse her spine.

Karla survived.

But the life she knew before the accident has changed dramatically. 💔

As she begins the difficult process of understanding what happened, her family is stepping in to care for the two little girls who cannot possibly understand why their mother is suddenly not home.

For now, someone else has to do the things Karla normally would.

Hold her babies.

Feed them.

Comfort them.

Put them to bed.

Jazmin is caring for her granddaughters with help from her 19-year-old, while Karla’s husband remains close to her at the hospital.

For a mother with children so young, perhaps one of the hardest realities is knowing that her daughters are too little to understand what has happened.

They don’t understand paralysis.

They don’t understand hospital rooms.

They don’t understand why Mommy can’t come home.

They only know that Mommy is missing.

And when Karla eventually returns home, motherhood may look very different from the way it did before that Sunday night.

She will have to navigate an entirely new reality while continuing to be the mother her daughters need.

Adding another layer of stress, Jazmin says Karla did not have medical insurance when the accident happened.

The physical recovery will be difficult.

The emotional recovery may be just as challenging.

And the family now faces an uncertain future while trying to keep life as stable as possible for two very young children.

But through all of this, Karla’s family is asking the community for one thing:

Prayer. 🙏

Pray for Karla physically as she begins the long road ahead.

Pray for her emotionally as she processes a life-changing injury she never expected.

Pray for her husband, who is trying to remain beside his wife while helping hold their family together.

Pray for Jazmin and everyone caring for the girls.

And most importantly, pray for Karla’s two little daughters — two babies who simply want their Mommy home. ❤️‍🩹

This family has already endured more than anyone should have to face in a single night.

Now they need strength for everything that comes next.

If you could send Karla one message of encouragement today, what would you want her to know? Leave a ❤️ or a prayer below and help surround this young mother with hope. 🙏❤️
