What began as an ordinary drive through Prince George, British Columbia, ended in an unimaginable tragedy for Alex Garneau, a devoted mother of two. 💔

On August 20, 2026, Alex was driving along Foothills Boulevard with her daughter, Josie, when a small twin-engine aircraft suddenly made an emergency landing on the busy roadway. ✈️🚨

The Beech King Air 200, operated by Sekani Air, had been carrying six pᴀssengers and two crew members when one of its engines lost power. Unable to safely continue to the airport, the pilot attempted an emergency landing on the highway.

Tragically, the aircraft struck four vehicles as it came down.

One of those vehicles was Alex’s car.

Alex was killed in the impact, while her daughter Josie survived with little physical injury. 💔🙏

The scene was described by witnesses as something that seemed impossible to believe.

One driver recalled suddenly seeing the aircraft coming toward him and desperately trying to steer away. His vehicle was struck by the plane’s wing, which tore away much of the top of his car and showered him with broken glᴀss. 😢

Emergency crews ᴀssessed 10 people at the scene, with two taken to hospital in stable condition. Remarkably, none of the six pᴀssengers or two crew members aboard the aircraft were seriously injured.

But for Alex’s family, there was no miracle.
