A haunting pH๏τograph has surfaced showing Caroline “Caro” Pena, 32, moments after she was allegedly attacked by three women in Del Rio, Texas. Pena’s white shirt was visibly stained with blood after the confrontation, while police later arrested Kitty Mia Diaz, 21, her sister Amaya “Cookie” Diaz, 19, and Kyandra Renee Faz, 21. All three have been charged with murder and each reportedly faces a $5 million bond. According to investigators, surveillance cameras at Faz’s home captured the confrontation.

Police allege that Amaya approached Pena carrying an object believed to be a knife before striking her in the back. Kitty and Faz allegedly joined the ᴀssault before the women separated and left. The case took another disturbing turn when officers allegedly discovered that Kitty and Amaya had changed clothes and recently showered before their arrests. Police noted that the sisters were wearing different clothing and had wet hair when they were taken into custody.

Images from the arrests reportedly showed the women smiling or smirking, creating a stark contrast with the blood-stained pH๏τograph of Pena. Her friend Zelina Ochoa said the image was especially powerful because Pena appeared to have faced three women while carrying no weapon herself. Pena was rushed to a local hospital and later transferred to San Antonio because of the severity of her injuries.

She died hours later. Her death left five children, ranging from 3 to 16, without their mother. Relatives are now caring for the children, while authorities continue investigating what caused the fatal confrontation. Although the women reportedly knew Pena, her family has not publicly identified a clear motive. As the murder cases move forward, the pH๏τograph remains one of the most unsettling reminders of the final moments of a mother whose death has devastated her family.
