A former University of Kentucky student-athlete has pleaded guilty to charges connected to the death of her newborn son, whose body was discovered inside a closet at her off-campus home. 💔

Laken Snelling, 22, changed her plea on August 21, 2026, after initially pleading not guilty. She pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and concealing the birth of an infant. ⚖️
