❤️ JAXON BUELL — THE BOY BORN WITH RARE MICROHYDRANENCEPHALY WHO SURVIVED FAR BEYOND EXPECTATIONS

Doctors weren’t sure Jaxon Buell would survive his first week. Instead, the Florida boy went on to live for more than five years.

Jaxon was born in 2014 with microhydranencephaly, an extremely rare brain malformation that severely affected the development of his brain and skull. His early years were filled with serious medical challenges, including seizures, feeding difficulties and repeated health complications.

But his parents, Brittany and Brandon Buell, focused on giving their son a life filled with love and meaningful moments.

Through their “Jaxon Strong” updates, people around the world watched Jaxon smile, make eye contact, reach for objects and develop his own ways of communicating with his family. 🥹

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his prognosis, Jaxon celebrated five birthdays — far beyond what doctors initially expected.

In March 2020, his health deteriorated and he entered hospice care. He pᴀssed away peacefully on April 1, 2020, at just 5 years old, surrounded by the people who loved him most.

❤️ Jaxon’s story is a reminder that even a short life can leave an extraordinary mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
