🌹❤️ THE BOUQUET THAT MEANT EVERYTHING: HOW MISS TERRY SABAN STOOD BY NAJEE HARRIS’ MOM IN HER DARKEST MOMENT 🏈🥹

Long before Najee Harris became a New York Giants running back, before the NFL spotlight and professional football contracts, there was a young Alabama running back whose greatest source of strength was his mother, Tianna Hicks.

And in the spring of 2020, Tianna found herself in a hospital bed, frightened and in tremendous pain.

At the time, Najee was preparing to return to Alabama for another season. Crimson Tide fans were excited about the team’s championship hopes, but while Najee’s football future looked bright, his mother was facing a frightening medical crisis.

Tianna had returned home from the gym one evening feeling intense pain. The pain became so severe that she ended up at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. She called Najee, and he drove from Tuscaloosa to be with her.

Doctors eventually diagnosed Tianna with ischemic colitis, a condition involving reduced blood flow to the colon that can cause tissue damage.

She remained hospitalized for days while doctors performed tests and worked to determine the best course of treatment.

Then came an unexpected moment of kindness.

One day, hospital staff noticed a familiar face walking through the halls.

It was Terry Saban, wife of Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

Miss Terry had driven all the way from Tuscaloosa to visit Tianna and brought with her a beautiful bouquet of pink roses. 🌹❤️

She made her way to Tianna’s room, knocked, and opened the door.

But the room was empty.

Tianna was several floors away undergoing complex gastrointestinal testing and had been placed under anesthesia.

Miss Terry couldn’t wait for her to return.

So she left the flowers—and a note.

The message was simple but incredibly meaningful:

“Ms. Tianna, I stopped by to see you and wish that you get well soon. Come see us in T-Town. We’re so happy to have your son back. Let’s win it all this season. Big hugs and RTR… Miss Terry.” ❤️🐘

When Tianna eventually returned to her room, she found the bouquet waiting for her.

She missed seeing Miss Terry in person, but she couldn’t miss the bright pink roses or the kindness behind them.

“It was amazing,” Tianna recalled.

Over the following days, she began feeling better. She also kept reading Miss Terry’s note.

Each time, it lifted her spirits.

Tianna eventually left the hospital and continued her recovery at home in Vestavia Hills.

And then came the football season everyone had been waiting for.

Najee Harris returned to Alabama and played a major role in one of the most memorable seasons in Crimson Tide history.

The team went undefeated and reached the College Football Playoff National Championship.

In January 2021, Alabama defeated Ohio State 52–24 to win the national championship. 🏆🐘

Najee had helped lead the Crimson Tide to the ultimate prize.

But behind the football story was something much more personal.

During one of the most frightening moments of Tianna’s life, Miss Terry had made the effort to show up.

She brought flowers.

She left a note.

And she reminded a worried mother that she was not alone. 🌹❤️

Sometimes, kindness doesn’t require a grand gesture.

Sometimes it’s a bouquet of flowers sitting in a hospital room.

Sometimes it’s a handwritten note waiting for someone when they return.

And sometimes, those small gestures become memories that last forever.

For Tianna, Miss Terry’s bouquet became much more than flowers.

It became a reminder of friendship, family, faith and hope during a difficult chapter.

And a few months later, her son helped Alabama finish the story with a championship.

Bama 52. Ohio State 24. 🏆🐘

But perhaps the most beautiful part of the story happened long before the final whistle—when someone simply showed up for a mother who needed hope. 🌹❤️
