Chris Watts, who is serving multiple life sentences for the 2018 killings of his pregnant wife and two young daughters, has reportedly entered a new relationship while in prison and may be seeking to marry.

Watts, 41, is reportedly in a relationship with Ohio realtor Lizzie Henderson, 39. According to reports, Henderson has moved to Wisconsin to be closer to him and has publicly acknowledged their relationship, though she admitted that others may find it difficult to understand.

“How things began is between me, him and God,” she reportedly said.

Court documents reviewed by the Daily Mail reportedly show that Henderson applied to change her surname to Watts last September. She has also reportedly been seen wearing a ring on her left hand and, according to her former stepfather, submitted a request to prison officials seeking permission to marry Watts. 💍

When asked about Watts’ crimes, Henderson offered few details, saying that he knows how she feels and that she wants to respect those affected by the tragedy.

Reports say Henderson visited Watts numerous times in 2025 and spent Christmas Day with him in 2024. During a prison visit last year, another visitor reportedly saw the pair showing affection and exchanging declarations of love.

Wisconsin prisons place strict limits on physical contact between inmates and visitors, and conjugal visits are not permitted. Marriage between an inmate and an outside partner is possible, but requests must meet state requirements and receive approval from prison authorities.

Watts is serving five consecutive life sentences following the 2018 killings of his wife, Shanann, who was 15 weeks pregnant, and their daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3.

The case shocked the nation after Watts initially portrayed himself as a worried husband whose family had disappeared. He later admitted responsibility for their deaths and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Since his incarceration, Watts has reportedly attracted a number of female admirers and maintained relationships through prison correspondence.
