⚡💔 LINEMAN RYNE COOPER NEVER MADE IT HOME — TEXAS FAMILY NOW FACES LIFE WITHOUT HIM
Another lineman has lost his life while doing work most people rarely think about, yet millions depend on every single day.
Ryne Cooper was killed on August 11 while working as a lineman, leaving behind his wife, Macy Rae, and their two young sons, Reed and Rory.
For the people who knew him best, Ryne was much more than a man with a dangerous job.
He was a husband, a father, a provider and a deeply loved member of his family.
His sister-in-law, Kelsie, shared the family’s heartbreak from Texas City, Texas, describing the sudden loss as something words cannot adequately express.
“There are no words that can truly express the heartbreak of losing my brother in law, Ryne, so suddenly,” she said.
Kelsie remembered Ryne as a loving husband, an incredible father and “one of my very favorite people on this planet.”
He loved spending time outdoors, making memories with his family and enjoying time with close friends. Above all, his family was his world.
Ryne was also known within the lineman community as IBEW 66 Brother Ryne Cooper, or “Niko.” The National Sisterhood United for Journeymen Linemen is now mourning his loss and calling on the lineman community to surround Macy and her children with support.
For those familiar with the dangers of line work, Ryne’s story carries a painful reminder of the risks these workers face every time they leave home.
Lineman families have experienced devastating accidents in communities across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Georgia. Some workers survived with life-changing injuries. Others never returned home.
Their work involves restoring power, maintaining electrical systems and responding when communities need them most — often under dangerous conditions.
Most people simply see the lights come back on.
They don’t always see the workers who risk their lives to make that happen.
Now, that risk has left another family grieving.
Macy has lost her husband.
And Reed and Rory have lost their dad.
Their family is asking for prayers and words of love as they begin navigating a future they never expected.
🙏 Pray for Macy as she faces the unimaginable loss of her husband.
🙏 Pray for Reed and Rory as they grow up carrying the memory of their father.
🙏 Pray for Kelsie and everyone who loved Ryne.
And please remember every lineman who puts on their gear, leaves their family and heads to work knowing the job carries risks most of us will never have to face.
Rest easy, Ryne Cooper. 🕊️⚡
And to every lineman working today: Thank you for doing the dangerous work that keeps the rest of us connected. May you always make it home. ❤️🙏
