Ella was just 7 months old when her family learned that she was living with intractable epilepsy, a form of epilepsy in which seizures remain difficult to control despite treatment.

Since then, much of Ella’s childhood has involved medical appointments, hospital stays, testing and numerous attempts to manage her condition.

In 2021, doctors performed major brain surgery in the hope of reducing or controlling her seizures. For 18 months, Ella finally experienced life without them, giving her family hope that perhaps the hardest chapter was behind them.

But in 2023, the seizures returned.

Then, in 2025, Ella underwent another major procedure and received a deep brain stimulator, a device intended to help manage abnormal electrical activity ᴀssociated with her condition.

Despite these efforts, her seizures have continued.

Nearly 13 years of challenges. Countless treatments. Two major procedures. And through it all, a family that continues to stand beside Ella every step of the way.
