Russell Appold Jr. entered the world at just 22 weeks, weighing only 17 ounces—a beginning so fragile that survival itself seemed uncertain.

From his very first breath, he was in the NICU at Tulane Lakeside Hospital, surrounded by machines, constant monitoring, and a team determined to give him every possible chance. 🏥
