For Mikey and his wife, Bonnie, life changed forever after they experienced two heartbreaking tragedies within less than two weeks.

On September 5, the couple welcomed their baby boy into the world at 6:00 p.m., cherishing every precious moment they had with him.

Tragically, just one hour and forty minutes later, at 7:40 p.m., their newborn peacefully pᴀssed away.

What should have been the beginning of a lifetime of memories instead became a day of unimaginable grief.

As they struggled to come to terms with the loss of their son, Mikey and Bonnie stepped away from work to mourn, while also facing the financial pressures that often accompany such a devastating experience.

Before they had even begun to heal, another heartbreaking event unfolded.

Less than two weeks after saying goodbye to their baby, a fire tore through the family’s home.

In a matter of moments, they lost not only the house they had worked so hard to build but also countless belongings filled with memories and hopes for the future they had imagined with their little boy.

Suddenly, the grieving parents found themselves facing another overwhelming challenge—rebuilding their lives while still carrying the pain of their unimaginable loss.

Wanting to help ease some of that burden, a family member organized a fundraiser to support the young couple during this incredibly difficult time.

“I’m trying to raise additional funds for my son Mikey and my daughter-in-law Bonnie,” the family member shared. “No parent should ever have to experience the loss of a child while also worrying about missing work, paying bills, and starting over after losing everything.”
